Education
John Sutton earned his B.A. in Business Administration and Marketing from the College of Idaho in 1971. He received his Judicial Doctorate from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in 1974. There, he was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Fraternity, International Law Society and Environmental Law Society.
Instruction and Teaching
John has taught monthly alcohol awareness classes via Court Referral Program for the last 20 years and continues to do so. Other experience in teaching includes night courses in English and Accounting at the Southern Business College in Birmingham, Alabama and instructing college-level business law courses at the Western Nevada Community College in Carson City, Nevada.
Military Background
John served as a Security Patrol squad leader as well as hand-to-hand combat instructor at the Mountain Home Air Force Base from 1962-1966. He has provided protection throughout his military career and has carried forth this passion into his 30+ years in private law practice.
